A Philosophy of Nurturing with High Expectations
Our educational philosophy rests on the idea that individual differences in learning exist among all of us. No two persons learn at the same level or rate at any given time. We approach our teaching with this in mind for each of our students. We have the same high expectations of every student who walks through our doors, regardless of his or her status in school.
Student-centered, Mastery-based Learning
At Priddy, our teachers are experts in placing and guiding students at a level that matches their ability. If the student is placed at the wrong level, either too high or low in school, the student can be overwhelmed or become bored, and lose interest in learning. Priddy builds an individual step-by-step program to ensure your child masters each step before proceeding the next one, for any subject.
Practice Makes Perfect
At Priddy, our teachers assign “practice” on a daily basis. Practice can range from 5 to 15 minutes for elementary students; 10 to 20 minutes for middle school students; and 15 to 30 minutes for high school students. We believe that doing a little each day is far more productive and effective than doing a lot once or twice a week or cramming at the last minute.
