Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He graduated from Millburn High School, where he was active in multiple music programs. As a pianist, he was selected for Region, All-State, and All-Eastern band, and as a singer he continues to perform at venues in New Jersey. With his experience as a music teacher and math tutor, he looks forward to doing everything he can for the students at Priddy Learning Academy.
Q. Why do you like teaching at Priddy Learning Academy?
As a student who used to struggle with many of the subjects I now teach, I want to be able to show others that learning doesn’t have to be intimidating, and that with the right guidance, anything can be learned. It’s really just a gratifying experience for me when I see a student grasp a concept they never understood before.
Q. What is your favorite book?
I grew up with the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, and it’s hands down my favorite book.
Q. What is the most recent book you’ve read?
I just finished The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. It’s an excellent book, and it should serve as a reminder to myself to never start an incomplete series.
Q. Do you have any hobbies or outside interests?
Aside from music, I’m an avid gamer; I’ll play anything from board games to video games, and I’ve got quite a bit of experience with both.
Q. What long-term goals do you have that you would like to share?
I plan to become a doctor in the future. At the moment, I’m interviewing at schools and waiting for decisions from the schools I’ve already completed.
